This is another painting done in a project entitled 'figures in space' where the concept was to create an environment with people in it. Its pretty big, about 110x100cm on canvas. the next topic is self generated and i am going to continue with figurative work, starting by inserting falling people into a movement and seeing where it goes.

how did you arrive at such disconcerting imagery?
ReplyDeletewell we started of using people out of magasines- but as they were mostly advertising/posed shots then they would face the camara. i got a few pics from the pulitzer prize photgraphy compotition and started playing with them instead- this was quite tame compared to some of the pictures i could have worked! but no disconcerting and jarring was the effect i wanted.
