The North End

3 more peaks at the north end of the ridge to do, Sgurr nan Gillean, Am Basteir and Bruach na Frithe.
The day started off fine, but soon deteriorated into wet and windy conditions on the ridge. After climbing up into Coire a Bhasteir from Sligachan it didn't look promising for completing the 3. Initial thoughts were to climb up the ridge onto Gillean but the weather may preclude coming back down to get to the other two. Jos suggested we miss out Gillean as we could do this ourselves on another day and that is what we did. A slippery traverse / scramble with a short down climb on wet basalt got us to the top of Am Bhasteir. Back down and a traverse under Bhasteir and the tooth got us onto the Bruach na Frithe. Back down to the 'Slig' for a well deserved pint and we say our farewells to Winky who is guidng others over the weekend
