No sooner back from the Grand Tour and Jos is off to the Shetlands! Margaret invited Jos to come with her and friends to Shetland for 2 weeks - an offer not to be missed!
Train from Hexham to Aberdeen, then overnight ferry to Lerwick and after a few hours a bus trip to Vidlin to be picked up by holiday cottage owner.

Day 7 Grand Tour

A visit to Cliff & Carols - just talking about families and Geraldine and children turned up - They've all grown a bit since we last saw them!
We all went for a walk down to the new river bridge and after seeing the lock in operation, Stepen turned up!
Time again to move on - this time to Penny's to see how much the boys had also grown!
Geraldine & children - Happy family shot!

Day 6 Grand Tour

Day 6 - we woke up to light rain after camping in the garden (wonderful!). Again, all too soon it's time to move on.
Stroud was the next port of call to see Wendy who was expecting a phone call any minute to say she's a grandma! A visit to Butterow wher uncle Len lived and a walk on the common and again it's onward to Worcester. Unfortunately an accident on the M5 meant another motorway crawl for an hour.

Sunny days
Steve's back garden - lovely!
Onward again to rural Wiltshire and Sara's idyll home.
Ken was busy making hay while the sun shone (working on the house), so we had a lovely walk through the surrounding countryside which included the Kennet and Avon canal.
