Day 7 Grand Tour

A visit to Cliff & Carols - just talking about families and Geraldine and children turned up - They've all grown a bit since we last saw them!
We all went for a walk down to the new river bridge and after seeing the lock in operation, Stepen turned up!
Time again to move on - this time to Penny's to see how much the boys had also grown!
Geraldine & children - Happy family shot!

Day 6 Grand Tour

Day 6 - we woke up to light rain after camping in the garden (wonderful!). Again, all too soon it's time to move on.
Stroud was the next port of call to see Wendy who was expecting a phone call any minute to say she's a grandma! A visit to Butterow wher uncle Len lived and a walk on the common and again it's onward to Worcester. Unfortunately an accident on the M5 meant another motorway crawl for an hour.

Sunny days
Steve's back garden - lovely!
Onward again to rural Wiltshire and Sara's idyll home.
Ken was busy making hay while the sun shone (working on the house), so we had a lovely walk through the surrounding countryside which included the Kennet and Avon canal.

This is another painting done in a project entitled 'figures in space' where the concept was to create an environment with people in it. Its pretty big, about 110x100cm on canvas. the next topic is self generated and i am going to continue with figurative work, starting by inserting falling people into a movement and seeing where it goes.

anutha paint

This is another painting, also A1 ish on canvas- it was done by destroying the paint in layers- so i wasted loads of paint doing it- but mostly Tafes (haha), it was very frustrating/fun. let me know what you think with complete honesty as im not sure if it is actually good to look at or not!!

Day 2 Grand Tour

We left Margaret's and after visiting her friend round the corner, made our way to Stevenage where we met up with Den & Rose in a pub near the hospital (Den had appointments that day).
On again and after an accident just in front of us on the A1M and being stuck in an M25 traffic jam for an hour, finally arrived at Bab's in Mottingham.
Time for a G&T and Kate called in. Bab's cooked us a lovely meal and then Jos & Bab's were soon reminiscing about Guyhirn...

Durham Day

Saturday found Jos & I across in County Durham for the day:
First casting a critical eye over Joanna & Phils potential property purchase - nice place! (no pics yet as I didn't get the camera out in the rain).
Then a meal in the local pub - Phil's folks, Ben & Gemma were also in attendance so a good time was had by all!
Back to the Durham flat and a walk with the dog before we were off to Tantobie for Jane's 60th bash! The picture says it all!

Then the Crown 2nd Thursday 'Irish' session with plenty of folks turning up - no pics though as I forgot my camera!
Howick Haven - another wonderful Northumberland beach

Cullernose Point - a regular painting spot!
